Ryan Briscoe, who will drive the No. 6 Team Penske Honda-powered Dallara during the 2008 IndyCar Series schedule, will receive the Bruce McLaren Trophy presented by the British Racing Drivers' Club.
The award recognizes the most meritorious performance by a Commonwealth driver during the year. Briscoe, 26, finished fifth in the 91st Indianapolis 500 and was rookie of the year in the American Le Mans Series for Penske Racing.
"Ryan's performances this year have caught the eye of all at the British Racing Drivers' Club. His fulltime move to the IndyCar Series is very exciting, and the BRDC will watch his progress at the wheel of a Team Penske car with interest," said BRDC spokesman James Beckett.
Antoine L'Estage and his codriver Alan Ockwell of the Yokohama Canada Rally Team won the 2014 edition of the Rallye Defi by winning every stage of the rally.
