''Sort of an uneventful day for me'' Jimmy Vasser source: cart.com JIMMY VASSER, #12 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth Warm-Up: 15th 1:03.354 111.886 mph Started: 9th 59.392 119.349 mph Finished: 7th Vasser on the Race: "Sort of an uneventful day for me. The start was no good, I lost three positions, but my crew did a good job today, helping me get those back in the pits. I had a bit of a run on Manning there toward the end, but wasn't able to finish the pass. It's nice to walk out of here with a few points." RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #31 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth Warm-Up: 5th 1:01.862 114.584 Started: 7th 59.219 119.698 mph Race Result: 17th Reason Out: Clutch Failure Hunter-Reay on the Race: "It wasn't our day today. I had a great run on each of the starts that were waived off and the third time definitely wasn't the charm for me. I had a bad start and lost a few positions, but one we got going I was settled into a good rhythm. Unfortunately lady luck was not on our side, the clutch failed just after our first stop. I felt it going and tried to hang on but within a lap or two, that was it, it was done." Stefan Johansson, Team Owner: "Track position is everything
here and unfortunately both drivers lost position on the start. The #12 crew
gave Jimmy some great stops today; he gained three or four positions in the
pits. Ryan was very unlucky with the mechanical issue that took him out of the
race, but he did a sterling job all weekend, as did Jimmy.
