A little give and take source: indycar.com / Dave Lewandowski Helio Castroneves didn't immediately catch on when invited for a recent driving contest along the Texas Motor Speedway fronstretch. The defending Bombardier Learjet 550k champion received a private golf lesson from PGA Tour players Rory Sabbatini, Ken Duke, Cliff Kresge and Mark Wilson. In turn, Castroneves passed along some driving tips to the pro golfers before they climbed into stock cars for a few laps around the 1.5-mile track. "Well, it actually went better than I expected to be honest because I thought I wasn't even going to hit the ball," said Castroneves, who is more adept on the tennis court. "Those guys are unbelievable. When I saw all four of them hitting the ball in exactly the same spot, it just shows that every sport has your level of difficulty and certainly golf is one for me. But Rory was a great teacher. He told me stuff that I don't know how I even hit the ball. Hopefully, one day when I retire, I'll be more into golf and put my game face on then and improve my game." Castroneves is seeking to become the first to win consecutive IndyCar Series races at Texas Motor Speedway. The Bombardier Learjet 550k - extended 28 laps from 2006 - is scheduled for June 9. In eight career starts at Texas Motor Speedway, he has two victories, five top-five and six top-10 finishes. "No question, it's a great place and a very difficult race to win as well," said Castroneves, driver of the No. 3 Team Penske Dallara/Honda/Firestone. "It reminds me a little bit of Indy, not the layout of the track, but the difficulty that you have on the racetrack. "That place is always challenging, and no question it will be competitive this year. I have a good team. We have to be consistent and hope that consistent is fast."
