The Monterey County Herald is reporting that negotiations are continuing
between the Champ Car World Series and two historic venues: Laguna Seca, and
Road America

Laguna Seca's fate may be determined by the vote of the San Jose City Council on
Tuesday. But it can also be determined by the fans.
Laguna Seca officials are hoping that fans will help influence Champ Car
officials, and given Kevin Kalkhoven's admiration of the fans, I'd say this is
completely correct.
If the fans won't get on board, and SCREAM at Champ Car to save Laguna Seca,
then there won't be a race.
So if you want a race at Laguna Seca, get on Champ Car's web-site, and fill up
their email boxes, call the corporate offices, and fill up the forums. If you
want a race on a traditional road course, Champ Car needs to hear you loud and
clear.
Quit worrying about their business plan... that's their job. The fans job is to
tell the series what they want.
So quit reading, and start writing.
