So last month, Autoweek broke the latest information regarding the unification of the Champ Car World Series, and the IRL IndyCar series. It was followed by a procession of media spouting the same line.... source: paddocktalk.com - rumors Like Michael Jackson's pop-hit 'Just leave them alone' was the cry. Things can't happen if we just don't 'leave them alone'. Ok... we get it... nobody wants to talk about it. Right ? After things settled down it became clear that the only new information was that Tony George, and Kevin Kalkhoven were bonding. Don't get us wrong... that's a good thing, but the revelation was hardly the silver bullet to cause headlines blasting 'Merger', or 'Unification' are near. Fast forward to yesterday. More headlines talking merger, more headlines talking unification of the two series. Why ? One simple reason. Both Tony George and Kevin Kalkhoven are talking to the press about the situation. So someone hasn't been leaving them alone... Have they ? So what was learned from the recent revelations ? Kalkhoven told the USA Today, "the most difficult thing isn't doing (the deal) but what happens afterward."
