An opportunity for CART fans to express themselves source: cart.com A Reynard 1-2-3 finish in Australia, I just wish there were 5 more laps in
the race, Darren Manning was closing and I would have loved to have seen it come
down to the wire! The Cleveland night race was awesome. Seeing the cars at night for the first
time was an amazing site. We saw fantastic 4th of July fireworks after
qualifying that topped off the day. Sebastien Bourdais fearlessly diving back across the front straight median to
rejoin the battle at the Lausitzring, after veering in to avoid the lane divider
during his fight to the front. Paul Tracy amassing a 30+ second lead at the Molson Indy in Toronto. Watching Alex Zanardi drive flat out, lapping faster that half the field did
for the race, was an intensely poignant scene. The man is a true hero, one of
the most wonderful people the sport could ever be blessed to call one of its
own. As a physician, I was astounded by his achievement, knowing quite well the
difficulty he faced, physically and emotionally. I had shivers down my spine for
those 13 laps, watching him go like stink, while the safety crew, officials and
his close friends watched on with tears in their eyes. Amazing.
