In 2006 Zwolsman will take part in all 15 races of the Champ Car World Series. MI-JACK Conquest Racing has been established in 1997. The team from Indianapolis, led by team boss Eric Bachelart and co-owner Michael Lanigan was very successful in the Dayton Indy Lights championship. After one season in the Indy Racing League, 2002, they switched over to the Champ Car World Series. Rookie race drivers such as Nelson Philippe, Justin Wilson and Andrew Ranger gave their debut in this American racing series with MI-JACK Conquest Racing. Zwolsman is not unknown to MI-JACK Conquest Racing. He already met the team on 13 and 14 December at Sebring International Raceway. He proved to be the fastest of all participating MI-JACK Conquest race drivers at a 2-day test session there. In order to make his race series more interesting for a broader audience, the owner of Champcars, Kevin Kalkhoven, wanted Zwolsman as the champion of the Atlantic series to drive in this international series as well. ERIC BACHELART (TEAM-BOSS OF MI-JACK CONQUEST RACING: "Charles did a great job last year winning the Atlantic series title and we could not be more pleased about having him join Mi-Jack Conquest Racing. We have a history of working with talented rookie drivers and Charles is definitely one of them. When he tested with us in December, he did an excellent job, provided us with great feedback and there immediately was a good chemistry between him and the team. He is also very pleasant to work with and I think we can expect great things from him." CHARLES ZWOLSMAN: "We have finalized the deal with Conquest Racing. I will be leaving for the US next week for the fitting of a car seat already. On 29 and 30 March I will be testing with MI-JACK Conquest Racing on the California Speedway (Fontana) to get back into the rhythm. After all it has already been 3 months since I sat in a racecar for the last time. For me a dream has come true. The Champ Car World Series is the highest racing series that uses Formula cars in the US. This is an amazing opportunity for me and I definitely plan on making the best of this opportunity and get some good results. I would like to thank the Champ Car organisation, Rick Gome of 'Goman representation in sport' and of course the team for the efforts they have made to place me in this race series after all. I surely cannot wait to finally go race with this team!"
