The Conquest Racing Team kicked off their season at the inaugural Vegas Grand Prix in Las Vegas, Nevada with Matt Halliday qualifying 16th on the provisional grid. source: conquest.com Although off to a rocky start due to some engine difficulties, Matt Halliday is notably becoming a respected addition to the Champ Car world placing himself 9th in the morning practice session and has given Conquest a fresh outlook on the ongoing season. "Obviously it was a rough day because we did not get much track time in during qualifying. Unfortunately we ran into a problem with the engine that they will fix tonight. We had a good start in practice this morning so I am sure tomorrow will be a lot smoother and we will be able to improve our position," said the 42 BELOW Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone drive Matt Halliday. Although the Conquest Racing Team is off to a bumpy start, Saturday's practice should shed some light on the resolution of today's engine issues. Halliday is definitely geared up for the remainder of the weekend and is anxious to see what his car can really do on a speedy street course for Sunday's race.
