Dan Clarke, driver of the #14 CTE Racing HVM/Ford-Cosworth/Lola in the Champ Car World Series, has been nominated for the Autosport Rookie of the Year Award and needs your votes to take the coveted title. source: paddocktalk.com The award, which started in 2000, is voted for exclusively by autosport.com readers. The honor is one of the most prestigious accolades in International motorsport and recognizes achievements of drivers in their first, rookie, season of a motor racing championship. F1 drivers Jenson Button, Juan Pablo Montoya and Mark Webber are among the previous winners of this Award. Clarke's nomination for the Award follows an outstanding first season of Champ Car racing, with the 23-year-old driver celebrating a podium finish earlier this year, the only rookie in the Series to achieve this. He was also the first rookie to score pole position. Clarke is eager to take the rookie award saying, "Being nominated for this Award is, in itself, recognition of the success I've been having this year, so I'm pleased that my achievements have been noted. It would be the icing on the cake to win this award and I hope that my fans both at home and abroad will take a couple of minutes and head to the Autosport website to vote for me."
