The Brazilian admitted it source: pitpass.com According to our sources (thanks Roseann), CART Champion Cristiano da Matta has possibly revealed F1's worst kept secret and admitted that he will be driving in F1 for Toyota next season. At a volleyball match over the course of the weekend, da Matta, who was in Australia for the ill-fated seventeenth round of the 2002 Championship at Surfers Beach, revealed that he will be unhappy not to be in a position to return to the venue next season. The Brazilian admitted that CART had given him a special dispensation to carry the number one on his car in the three remaining races of the championship, as revealed by pitpass, because he would not be competing in the championship next season and would instead be racing in F1 for Toyota.
