DTM: ART Grand Prix to rely on Gary Paffett in 2015
Gary Paffett has moved from Mercedes' main team in the DTM to its newest, ahead of the 2015 season.
It was recently announced that Paffett would lead ART Grand Prix, which begins its first year in the series. "Using experience gained in the course of eleven DTM seasons to date, the British driver will lead the new entrants to the DTM, as they build their team and get to know the vehicle," said Mercedes.
The 2005 champion had been with HWA since 2009. Mercedes also welcomed two new drivers in its line-up: Lucas Auer and Maximilan Götz, who come from F3 and sports car respectively. Meanwhile, Robert Wickens, Paul di Resta, Christian Vietoris, Pascal Wehrlein and Daniel Juncadella are all coming back. But Vitaly Petrov was dropped from the DTM programme. |
