From Fab photographers of course! source: paddocktalk.com - by Iain Shankland - PaddockTalk Photo Editor "I just noticed 'Whoa! They are too close'. I pulled my camera up and that's when they touched wheels." - Quote from PaddockTalk's Tom Link as he talks about his dramatic shots from Chicagoland. Paddock Talk photographers Tom Link and Paul Hurley were at Chicagoland where Tom managed to catch some spectacular pictures of Ryan Briscoe's crash with Alex Barron. "Fab Photos Special Feature: Briscoe Accident at Chicagoland" has become one of the most-read feature articles on Paddock Talk with over 5,000 reads in the first 4 days. Evidently many people were fascinated with the pictures, and some are wondering about the photographer behind them. This being the case, we thought we'd give our readers a little insight into one aspect that adds to Paddock Talk's success - our photographers. These guys are good! Both Paul and Tom were born and raised in Indianapolis and still enjoy living in their home-town, where "racing is kind of in their DNA" as Tom so aptly puts it. While photography isn't a career for either of these guys, it seems to be their common thread, both dabbling in photography from early years, and throughout their school days. Paul works as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, and Tom is an Electrical Engineer with Raytheon, a company that specializes in aircraft wiring design and installation. Let's find out a little more about these two valuable contributors to PaddockTalk through the Q&A I conducted with them this past week.
