Dreyer and Reinbold also running Buddy Rice source: irl-ive.com - ORS / CAPSIS International The Indianapolis 500 might be the fifth race of the IndyCar Series season, but it is obviously the most important. That is why a media event has been slated for Wednesday afternoon as Sarah Fisher and her team owner, Dennis Reinbold, turn in the first entries for the 91st Indianapolis 500. Accepting their entry will be Indy Racing League president Brian Barnhart. In addition to the primary and back-up cars for Fisher, the Dreyer and Reinbold Racing team will also enter a pair of cars for 2004 Indy 500 champion Buddy Rice. Fisher has competed in five Indianapolis 500's with a best finish of 21st coming in 2004. She was away from the Speedway during 2005 and 2006 as she attempted a transition to stock cars. Presently signed to drive only the oval tracks for DRR, Fisher has been testing her IndyCar Series machine on a road course and if rumored funding materializes she will add the five non-ovals to her 2007 calendar. Rice joins DRR after three seasons with Rahal Letterman Racing that peaked in 2004 when Rice won the "500". He missed the 2005 event after being injured in a practice crash, and will attempt to make his fourth 500 this year.
