Will start third this morning source: bessetteracing.com / toyotaatlantic.com / Michel Poirier-Defoy Antoine Bessette came out of both his qualifying session a happy driver holding third best time and starting the last round of the 2005 Toyota Formula Atlantic championship from second row. The 23-year old driver from Saint-Bruno, Quebec, has his mind set on his second victory this season and possibly third place in the standings. His best outing was Saturday morning practice where he posted a time just 0.1 second from pole sitter David Martinez. "We found out on Friday morning that my car was still suffering from my off-road in Road America, said AB. I was third in the session with a car that was badly understeering. My crew gave me a better car in the afternoon and even better today (Saturday). I was going very strong in the second qualifying and was one of the few to improve his time, even if my gearbox was showing some problems when I shifted in first gear. When this is all sorted out tomorrow, I think I will have the tool and the will to win." First qualifying session, the good one For most of the cars their first-session Friday qualifying times stood. Antoine was the only one in the Top Five to improve. "The air was much warmer and we lacked top speed and front wing grip, added Bessette. But my car was getting better and even with a faulty transmission and less grip on the track. This is why I feel very confident going into the race tomorrow. I don't mind having a few guys in front of me to show me the way but the season has shown that I can win from second row, like I did in Toronto. I like to peak on Sunday!"
