Patrick Carpentier had a good start to the day with a disappointing finish.
He started in Fourth position and finishing in a humble Ninth place. He did
however have the third fastest lap of the day clocking in at a time of 1:01.678
at an average speed of 96.437mph. Patrick had this not much to say on his
results stating that "we can not explain why, but it [the car] became very
slippery and we lost a lot of places, it was a very disappointing day overall
for us and we hope for much better in Montreal in two weeks."
