source: dcanews.com Fittipaldi-Dingman Racing will hit the streets of Miami this weekend for the Grand Prix Americas. This will be a big weekend for the team and their charity World Childhood Foundation. Driver Tiago Monteiro will be wearing a special helmet designed by children who participated in the team's "Helmet Contest", a contest designed to raise money for the charity. In addition to the activities centered on Childhood, several new sponsors for the event will also join the team. With both team owner Emerson Fittipaldi and driver Tiago Monteiro living in Miami, it's definitely going to be an action packed weekend. Monteiro, who moved to Miami in May, is looking forward to racing in his new hometown. "I think it's gonna be a great event!" he said. "The sun and the atmosphere of Miami will give the fans a great show. Personally it will be great to finally race "at home"! But especially I want to keep to good form of the last races, and to bring a good result for the team!" Monteiro will appear tonight at Bayside Marketplace signing autographs and meeting fans. He will also appearing tomorrow night (Thursday, September 25th) at the Commodore Plaza in Coconut Grove from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Round 16 of 19 of the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford, will run on the revamped 1.15-mile Miami street course from Friday September 26th through Sunday September 28th. Champ Car will once again run a single-car qualifying format for this event for both qualifying sessions. SPEED Channel will air qualifying on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time with the race being broadcast on CBS Sports beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday (check you local listings as some markets will be tape delayed).
