source: champcarworldseries.com The CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver presented by PacifiCare has added another element to the city's most unique summer festival by announcing that Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies will headline a concert performing works from his new album, The Vanity Project, on Saturday, August 13 at the Universal Lending Pavilion. The Vanity Project, released last week, is Page's first collaborative work outside of Barenaked Ladies. The Vanity Project is a compilation of songs that Steven co-wrote with long time collaborator Stephen Duffy and can be heard at www.vanity-project.com . Opening for Page will be Clarias, www.clariasmusic.com , who will start the show at 8:00 p.m., followed by Page at 8:45 p.m. Good friend and Grand Prix of Denver Grand Marshall, Jason Priestley, who is an active supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, invited Page to the Grand Prix event. The concert is a unique event for Page as he will be donating his time and all proceeds from the concert to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. "I am so happy that I am able to be part of the Grand Prix weekend," said Page. "More importantly it is a pleasure to play my new album in front of the great fans in Denver and have it all benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation." Tickets for the concert go on sale on July 1 and can be purchased through any Ticketmaster outlet, through www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 303-830-TIXS. Tickets are $35 each and included in the purchase price is a free ticket to all of Saturday's Grand Prix of Denver events.
