The frenchman is fastest of the first qualifying session source: Flagworld Sébastien Bourdais was impressive this afternoon in Houston where he guaranteed himself a place on front line for the race by clocking the fastest chrono in Friday's qualifying session with a time of 58,376 seconds. Will Power, the fastest this morning was second. Roookie Graham Rahal was third ahead of RSports teammates Justin Wilson and Alexandre Tagliani. Tag is not totally satisfied with the handling of his race car even if he is only 3/10 second behind the leader. He was ahead of Oriol Servia, last week hero in Long Beach, when he completed his first race replacing injured Paul Tracy in second position. Tomorrow there will be a last practice session in preparation for the second qualifying to determine the starting grid of the race Sunday. Alex Figge has decided not to participate in this weekend event due to a sore back when he was involved in an accident late in last week's race in Long Beach. It is not known yet if he will be replaced but some think Roberto Moreno could be called as replacement tomorrow and Sunday. The provisional starting grid: 1. S.Bourdais Newman/Haas/Lanigan 58.376 2.
