Following the
financial troubles encountered after the 2011 Baltimore Grand Prix that jeopardised the future of the event, city officials have now appointed a new promoter for the event.
Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced yesterday that a new company called Downforce Racing - comprised of two Baltimore entrepreneurs and Indianapolis-based construction executive Dale Dillon – will now run the event.
