According to some well-informed sources, the Andretti Green Racing team, one of the most successful outfit in the IndyCar history, could be a thing of the past as its owners are rumoured to be on the verge of splitting before next season.
Speedtv.com reveals that Michael Andretti would be splitting from his associates Kim Green and Kevin Savoree to go on his own. The reason for the split however is not yet known. It is expected that veteran AGR driver Tony Kanaan (photo) would likely follow Andretti in his new venture as well as the former CART driver’ son Marco, providing he gets a sponsor. Hideki Mutoh will likely be dropped by the team while its star driver Danica Patrick, along with her sponsors, is likely to go on either with Chip Ganassi or try her chance in the NASCAR series.
