Dutchman Robert Doornbos, who is believed to be in talks with several IRL teams for the upcoming 2009 season, could find himself with Newman-Haas-Lanigan Racing if every thing goes as planned.
Doornbos, who just completed the inaugural season of the Superleague series, is hopeful sponsorship from Dutch bank ING will be enough to secure a ride. The former F1 driver has also been linked with HVM Racing for which he drove in the former Champ Car series under the banner of Minardi Team USA. Doornbos is currently competing in the A1GP series with Team Netherlands, posting a second place finish in China back in November. Recent Articles
