Panther Racing and Vision Racing will team up this coming May to enter Ed Carpenter for the Indianapolis 500 as it will also enter the No. 4 National Guard car of Dan Wheldon.
Carpenter, 29, has finished eighth and fifth in the famous 500-Mile race the past two years in a Vision Racing-prepared car. It will be his 100th IZOD IndyCar Series start. “I am very excited not only to be returning to the Indianapolis 500, but also working with Panther Racing,” Carpenter said. Carpenter had a best finish of second at Kentucky Speedway last August. He finished 12th in the championship standings. Vision Racing, owned by former IRL founder Tony George, had suspended its racing operations January 28 as it continued to secure sponsorship. Recent Articles
