Team Conquest Racing has announced that Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi, will team up with Frenchman Franck Perera to complete their two cars entry for this year's IRL season.
As it will be the case for Perera, former Formula 1 driver Bernoldi will be making his debut in the Honda/Dallara/Firestone at Sebring International Raceway. "I am very happy to be joining Conquest Racing. I think we have an interesting season ahead of us," said Bernoldi. That announcement is bad news for Alex Tagliani who was still looking for possible employment with Eric Bachelart's team. At the same time, the native of Lachenaie, Quebec had revealed that Conquest was also negotiating with a driver who could provide major sponsorship, that driver being Bernoldi. Just a few weeks ago the Brazilian had been confirmed with ex-Champ Car team Rocketsports.
