Things are changing quickly in IndyCar racing these days. Robert Doornbos makes a move to HVM Racing while veteran Oriol Servia has been hired to replace the Dutchman at Newman-Haas-Lanigan at Mid-Ohio.
Doornbos had already announced that he was leaving NHL and rumours pointed out to Keith Wiggins and his HVM squad as his final destination. We can now confirm that the former Formula One driver has signed on with HVM for the remainder of the 2009 season. Meanwhile, Newman-Haas-Lanigan Racing have all but announced that veteran driver Oriol Servia will take over driving duties alongside Graham Rahal for this week-end's round at Mid-Ohio. Speculations are that the Spaniard should be in also for the Sonoma round while the last three oval races could go to another driver (Sébastien Bourdais?) Photos: IndyCar
