The steering wheels of the Indy car are quite similar to those used in the Formula 1 single seaters. No more dashboards -- everything is now located on the wheel itself.
Please note that the steering wheel seen on the photo differs slightly from the illustration. The location of the various buttons change from driver to driver, according to their preferences. 1. Overtake: changes the mapping of the engine to allow the engine to produce extra power to complete a pass. 2. Dashboard 3. RPM shifting lights: LED lights that go from green to red and indicate engine RPM. 4. Pit lane speed limiter: Limits the speed of the car in the pit lane. 5. Radio 6. Reset: during a pit stop, driver pushes on this button to reset the fuel reading on his display. 7. Fuel map switch: allows the driver to adjust fuel mapping of the engine to increase fuel mileage or to increase power. 8. Dash scroll: allow the driver to scroll different pages of the dashboard 9.
