After the signing of Katherine Legge, PKV Racing now has a decision on their hands to fill the remaining seat or seats for their 2006 season source: paddocktalk.com - rumors Both of the 05 drivers remain unsigned, 02 Champion, Cristiano da Matta and 96 Champ, Jimmy Vasser. Talks with da Matta have appeared to died down as of late. However, Kevin Kalkohoven had the following to say in regards to Vasser and his possible retirement from Champ Car. "I've given (Vasser) till the end of the month and then I've told him I'm going to kick him to Sunday and back if he doesn't decide." "He's having a really hard time with it," said Kalkhoven. "He had a good year last year, but he just hasn't made up his mind yet whether he's ready to come back and do it all over again." The PaddockTalk Perspective: Sounds like Vasser may have the urge to go at least one more season in the cockpit of a Champ Car. PKV has a fairly long list of drivers interested in the vacant seat at PKV and the team owners would like to announce their drivers with plenty of time to spare before the season opener in Long Beach. Will Jimmy be back?? We sure hope so!
