To find success in the Champ Car World Series, drivers and their teams must prepare for a wide variety of race tracks, and after a highly successful road course race in round two, Mi-Jack Conquest Racing is now ready for a completely different challenge in round three of the 2005 Champ Car season for the Time Warner Cable Road Runner 225 presented by US Bank at the historic Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisconsin. Mi-Jack Conquest Racing had a breakthrough event in Monterrey, Mexico, series rookie Andrew Ranger, who had a very strong performance in Mexico, moving up from fourteenth at the start to take second place, setting the record as the youngest driver to stand on a Champ Car podium. Ranger's teammate, Nelson Philippe, also performed well, leading his first laps in Champ Car competition, going on to lead the most laps of the race before contact with another car took him out of contention. The Monterrey race showed that with the two youngest drivers in Champ Car Series history, Mi-Jack Conquest Racing has a lot of potential to deliver solid results, and with the strong race behind them, the team is now looking forward to taking that momentum to Milwaukee's tricky Mile. "We are very excited for this weekends race at the Milwaukee Mile, especially after getting a great result in Monterrey," said team co-owner Eric Bachelart. "Andrew is now leading in points for the "rookie of the year" after his 2nd place finish, and Nelson lead the most laps in Monterrey."
