Will Power has qualified his Team Australia/Aussie Vineyards car as the highest rookie for Sunday's Molson Grand Prix of Toronto in Ontario, Canada today. source: teamaustraliamotorsport.com The young Queenslander qualified in 12th position for the race at his first visit to the difficult Toronto street circuit on a day that the Team Australia crew worked hard at trying to find a set-up to combat a lack of grip in the Aussie Vineyards Lolas. Canadian Alex Tagliani qualified 10th for the race that he finished third at last season, still not content that his car is at its best. Sunday's race is of course another matter, and the Team Australia crew is now working on getting a consistent race set-up for Tagliani and Power. WILL POWER - TEAM AUSTRALIA/AUSSIE VINEYARDS #5 LOLA "Today wasn't the greatest day," said Power. "When we were on the 'red' option tyres we had a better grip, but we didn't get the most out of the car. "The braking is the most difficult part of this the track. After two main straights there is a lot of time to get the braking right. It's just one of those tracks where you have to get everything right, every little detail, to get a good lap time. "Coming here for the first time is really hard, because it's such a technical track to find the limit. Basically, every time I've gone out I've gotten quicker, but so has everyone else. All the guys in front of me have been here two or three times, which makes it more difficult." ALEX TAGLIANI - TEAM AUSTRALIA/AUSSIE VINEYARDS #15 LOLA "Today's qualifying was really disappointing," said Tagliani. "We need more speed and that's very frustrating. We don't have grip and we are struggling. It's very difficult to find grip on the track and to find the right balance for the car. "Tomorrow we need to do what we have been doing, just work hard and have a better result for the race."
