IRL IndyCar Champion set to remain in the US source: F1.racing-live.com - Earl ALEXANDER © CAPSIS International Dan Wheldon was one of many rumoured to be in the frame for a drive at BAR Honda over the summer months thanks to his relationship with Honda that would later power him to the IRL IndyCar title last month. However, after BAR Honda sorted out its driver situation for 2006 and beyond and with Williams having a wealth of options for next year, Wheldon is set to ink a long-term deal to remain in the United States with Andretti Green Racing. The British driver has been linked to a one off outing in the A1GP series and is expected to take part in the Race of Champions at Stade de France in December. Andretti-Green team-mate Tony Kanaan recently tested the BAR Honda 007 but he is set to remain with the IRL squad until 2008.
