Nelson Piquet Jr has set the fastest lap of today's test session at Circuit Paul Ricard source: gp2series.com Nelson Piquet Jr has taken his Piquet Sports entry to the top of the timesheets with a last-gasp lap to topple GP2 series new boy Timo Glock from the top of the standings. Nelson's lap of 1:15.799 was almost three tenths quicker than Timo's best on the German's first ever outing in a GP2 series car. Timo made a great impact on his first and only day of GP2 series testing in 2005. He hands his ART Grand Prix car over to Formula 3 EuroSeries champion Lewis Hamilton tomorrow. Macau F3 Grand Prix winner Lucas di Grassi (Durango) made up for a disappointing morning with the third quickest time this afternoon, with Andreas Zuber (BCN Competicion) fourth, Borja Garcia (BCN Competicion) fifth and Franck Perera sixth (DAMS.) The afternoon session was highly competitive once again, with the whole field covered by only three seconds.
