Playa Del Racing, which loosely translated means "Beach Racing" in Spanish, is a
new Indy Racing League IndyCar Series team founded on old principles: To have
fun and go fast. Although the 2005 Indianapolis 500 will be the team's first
race, it is made up of seasoned professionals that have years of racing
experience, with numerous wins and championships on their resumes.
Playa Del Racing Vice President and Co-Owner, Susan Schafer, along with
Co-Owner Gary Sallee, believe the addition of Action Gaming brings another
exciting partner to the PDR team.
"Action Gaming is the leader in its industry," stated Schafer. "Founder and
President Ernie Moody is a dynamic businessman and sportsman whose knowledge and
experience bring added value to our growing relationship. Playa Del Racing looks
forward to a rewarding and fun on- and off-track experience for everyone
involved."
Moody is bringing his love of competition to automobile racing for the first
time. His horse racing venture, Mercedes Stables, has been a key player in the
highest levels of that sport for years.
