His ninth-place finish two weeks ago at Michigan brings his top-10 total to seven on the season, which places him among the league leaders in this category. Carpentier is currently the IndyCar Series leader in laps completed by 50 laps. He, along with teammate Alex Barron, have been a model of consistency in the league this year by completing more than 94 percent of the laps possible, which is higher than any other team. "The recent success really helps the guys because they're working very hard to find things to help us go faster. It also says a lot about our preparation that we've had dependable cars all year. The races are always so close that if you can stay on the track on the lead lap, you never know what might happen." Carpentier said. The team's take on Kentucky Speedway "There are a number of things that make this track challenging. It always seems to be really hot when we race there, so it causes some tire and balance problems because the track is always changing with the fuel load you're carrying and the amount of rubber on the track. There are also a few bumps, but we run on a lot of bumpy tracks. They're all a bit tricky, but I think we'll be able to deal with it pretty well. We made a lot of gains with the car during the test, and we were pretty quick. Race setup is really important there, so that's what we worked mostly on, and I think we're in pretty good shape."- Alex Barron "It's a bit of a bumpy track, but it's fun. It's more like a round track than an oval, though. It's still a fairly long track, so hopefully we can find some speed, because it seems like the longer the track, the more difficulty we've been having. No matter what we do in practice or qualifying, I'm looking forward to racing here because it seems like we're always able to make up ground there. Plus, during the test, Alex and I were able to run side by side in traffic with no problem, so I think our race setup is pretty solid right now."- Patrick Carpentier
