It was a race full of green flag action today at Pikes Peak International Raceway for the Honda Indy 225

Patrick Carpentier started the race in 17th position, but didn't waste any time in moving up through the field. The Canadian picked up a couple spots in the first five laps, and continued to chip away as the race went on. With some quick work in the pits by the #83 crew, Carpentier finished the race in 10th place. This marks his eighth top 10 in 13 races this season and continues his IndyCar Series lead in laps completed. "At the beginning of the race the car was sliding around like crazy. We made a tire pressure adjustment in the first pit stop and the car was a lot better. The car was fast after that. The Red Bull Cheever Racing crew did a good job in the pits today. We are still in tenth place in the championship and if we can finish up there it would be good," Carpentier said. Alex Barron's day started with the team making the decision to change engines after the morning practice session. This move forced the #51 car to begin the race from the back of the grid, but the team thought that a new Toyota engine might give them the power that eluded them all weekend. The new motor proved to be more powerful, and Barron was able to battle forward in the field before taking the checkered flag in 18th position. "Obviously we're a little disappointed with today's result. We tried just about everything we could think of this weekend to make the #51 car faster, but we just couldn't get it. We changed a motor, and that seemed to make us a little faster, but the leaders came around on us quickly, which put us a lap down. We struggled with grip a little bit too. Overall, it wasn't a great day for us. All we can do now is look ahead to the next race at Infineon where I think we can do well. Both Pat and I tested well there, so we think we can go there and be very competitive," Barron said.
