Bruno Junquiera is on the outside of Row 4 and teammate Sebastien Bourdais will line up right behind him on May 29. source: champcarworldseries.com Both would have liked to go a little faster and had a little more practice time but, all things considered, the only Champ Car team competing in this year's Indianapolis 500 had a productive Sunday. They didn't get rained out so bringing in substitute drivers to qualify their cars or a banzai trip back to Indy next Saturday from Monterrey won't be neccessary. They're safely in the 89th Indianapolis 500 so now they can go to Mexico and concentrate on their full-time jobs. "It's not the position that we really wanted but we didn't get to work on qualifying setup as much as we would have liked because we had to concentrate on race setup since we won't be back here until Carb Day," said Junqueira, who won the pole at Indy in 2002 and started fourth a year ago for Newman/Haas Racing. "We don't have that much qualifying knowledge here so that's why we're not as fast but I'm satisfied." Bourdais' initial qualifying run at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway left the defending Champ Car king a bit frustrated. "I'm disappointed with our speed because we were faster this morning in practice," said the 24-year-old Frenchman. "I definitely thought we would put up a 225.7 like Bruno but we were just lacking some speed. "It's always frustrating when you don't know why you aren't fast enough."
