Today officially kicked off the 2007 Champ Car World Series season, as RSPORTS did it in style rounding out the top five during the first round of qualifying for Sunday's Las Vegas Grand Prix. source: rocketsportsracing.com Things were looking pretty positive right out of the box as Justin Wilson positioned the #9 CDW Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone in the top three after the first practice session. During the one hour and ten minute session, Wilson was able to complete 13 laps around the 2.440-mile temporary circuit on the streets of downtown Las Vegas. He posted his best time of the morning on this 12 orbit, recording a 1:24.768 (103.624 mph). Tagliani posted his best time of 1:25.559 (102.666 mph) during his ninth lap during the morning practice session.
