After a positive testing session today in Mexico City, Justin Wilson Wilson (#9 CDW / RuSPORT / Ford - Cosworth / Lola / Bridgestone) is ready to get back in the driver's seat and participate in Friday's provisional practice session. source: champcarworldseries.com Wilson sustained a broken scaphoid bone in his right wrist on Friday, October 20th, during the warm-up prior to provisional qualifying in Surfers Paradise. "I tried out the #9 CDW car this morning and everything seemed to go quite well with my wrist," said Justin Wilson. "We tested a couple of different wrist braces and positions and were even able to complete a lap without the brace. We now have some ideas for tomorrow and I'm ready to give it another go." Dr. Chris Pinderski, Champ Car World Series Medical Director stated, "I examined Justin after his short test this morning and at this point I am confident that his wrist is well enough to participate in competition this weekend. He will, however, be reexamined after every test and practice session to determine the health of his wrist." Wilson plans to drive the #9 CDW / RuSPORT car on Sunday Nov. 12th in the final race of the Champ Car World Series 2006 season in Mexico City, however Adam Carroll is on hand to fill in for him if he does not feel able to race at a competitive level. The Gran Premio Telmex is the final race of the 2006 Champ Car World Series. The race will be held on Sunday, November 12th and broadcast live on SPEED TV at 3:00 p.m. EST.
