It appears that the second driver that will be teammates with AJ Allmendinger at RuSport is Justin Wilson source: champweb.net AJ Allmendinger says that the biggest thing that he learned in his rookie season in Champ Cars was to pace himself during the two hour endurance races as a Champ Car World Series driver. The longest drive he ever had in Toyota Atlantic was 45 minutes. "Start the race and put the hammer down. If something was wrong, you didn't do a pit stop to fix it, you worked with what you had. In Champ Cars, you have to deal with a lot more along the way over a longer time period." Justin Wilson stated that CCWS is more like Formula 3000 where he drove before Formula One. Everyone is using the same engines and tires. It is more challenging and boils down to the driver. He looks forward to sharing information with AJ Allmendinger and doing the best that he can with what he has. AJ Allmendinger talks about the diverity in Champ Car, but stresses that he really does not favor oval track racing. Justin Wilson comments that his first experience with ovals was in The Champ Car World Series. He commented that it was so different fron road racing that he may as well be riding a bike. "If you have a good day and your car is running well, you are at the front. If the car is not working well, you can call it a day." Carl Russo commented that AJ Allmendinger and Justin Wilson are two drivers that can just get in the car and go. They have strong skills and can raise the bar on each other. They also will share information and work well with each other. Russo also commented that he doesn't believe in a "number one driver" on a team. First testing session will be after the start of the new year. The complete article at champweb.net
