Bourdais recorded best time of the 3-day session earlier this week. source: F1-Live.com Sebastien Bourdais' first steps into the world of CART racing in the USA ended on a high note as he topped the charts on the last day of official testing. Having taken the top spot at the end of Day 1, the young Frenchman let Spaniard Oriol Servia steal the show on Day 2, but Day 3 once again belonged to Bourdais who did a 50.584 lap at an average speed of 191.118 kph. "We learned a lot during these three days, and it was a good opportunity to see how we compared against the rest of the teams" commented Bourdais. "The car is really competitive, even with scrubbed tyres an a full load of fuel - it was quite astonishing. We still have lots to do in order to be fully prepared for the first race though" added Sebastien. Brazilian Bruno Junqueira, his teammate at Newman/Haas, finished second, followed by Mexican Michel Jourdain Jr (Team Rahal) and Spaniard Oriol Servia (Pat Patrick Racing). The last day of testing went accident-free - except maybe for the first Ford Cosworth XFE blowout, leaving Paul Tracy's Lola in a thick cloud of smoke!
