It's hard to say which made the better photo source: champcarworldseries.com - Robin Miller Bruno Junqueira climbing back in his car or Paul Newman embracing him when he stepped out of it. Junky's return to a Champ Car here Monday after serious injuries in last May's Indianapolis 500 was emotional enough but his famous car owner's appearance made the 29-year-old Brazilian as happy as his lap times. "It was such a nice surprise and I can't tell you in words how much it meant to me," said Junqueira, who started with Newman/Haas Racing in 2003. "For Paul to make that long flight to support me is just something you don't expect, except from somebody like him. "He's a great owner and a good friend and I'm lucky to be driving for him and Carl." In his typical don't-get-theatrical-with-me demeanor, Newman brushed off any praise for supporting one of his drivers.. "Why wouldn't I be here," grinned the man whose passion for Champ Car is unrivaled. "That kid has a long, hot summer and he probably got real tired of watching everybody race while he had to sit. "Bruno just fell right back into a rhythm didn't he? That was impressive, but not surprising. He's a helluva driver and a helluva kid."
