Prix Americas Presented by Sportsbook.com. Tagliani hustled the No. 33 Johnson
Controls Lola around the 1.15 mile city street course in 46.328 seconds,
reaching a top speed of . Tagliani was second to run in the single car
qualifying session, based on his times from the rain-soaked morning practice.
Words from Tagliani
"There was very poor grip and the track was quite bumpy. We worked to make the
car softer based on the rain we had this morning, but the weather changed since
practice. I was second to go out on the dry track this afternoon and felt the
change in the car's performance. There was too much push and under steer, but we
can sort that out and hope for a better run tomorrow. I'm sure the car's got
more in it and it can be faster. The track is short and tight, and doesn't allow
for lots of passing, so it's very important to start close to the front.
