Like an F-18 to a Boeing 747 source: paddocktalk.com The vision of one of Australia's newest V8 Supercar teams, WPS Racing was appropriately spelled out to students from Bathurst's Charles Sturt University today as the team prepares for this weekend's Mt Panorama assault during the Super Cheap Auto 1000. Endurance drivers David Besnard, Craig Baird, Alex Tagliani and Marcus Marshall were joined by Wright Patton Shakespeare co-founder John Atkinson during a morning guest lecture. Topics centred around the comprehensive branding exercise that's been undertaken by WPS through the elite levels of Australian and International motorsport plus the drivers were able to give a first hand account of how they're approaching this weekend's massive challenge. "We are certainly one of the pioneers of utilising motorsport to the benefit of Wright Patton Shakespeare and from a business perspective the results have shown we're definitely on a winner," said Atkinson. "Already we've made excellent headway in the Australian V8 Supercar Series the past two years and our debut season in the Champ Car World Series has allowed us to extend our involvement Internationally. "What we have initiated this year with the WPS Racing/Team Australia combination in the endurance rounds is just the start of some big things planned for coming years."
