Rocketsports driver Alex Tagliani was seventh quickest in the second qualifying
session for the Molson Indy Vancouver, with a lap time of 1:01.816 and speed of
103.721 mph, 166.922 km/h. "It was an okay day for the Rocketsports team,
but not as good as it could've been," said Tagliani. "We made some
changes, which ended up making the car too stiff. I came in, corrected things
and was able to finish seventh today, which is not as quick as we were
yesterday."
The Rocketsports crew returned to the Champ Car paddock to rework the setup on
the #33 Johnson Controls Lola in preparation for Tagliani's ninth top-ten start
of the season. "We'll make some adjustments and expect more from the car
for tomorrow's race," concluded Tagliani.
SPECIAL NOTE
The Rocketsports team is joined this weekend by Canadian
Toyota Atlantics driver Jonathon Macri, as part of the Champ Car mentorship
program. On race day, the team will also be joined by Ironman Triathlete
Peter Reid, who will attend the Molson Indy Vancouver to cheer on fellow
Quebecois, Alex Tagliani. Look for the round-up of athletes in the Johnson
Controls hospitality area or in the Rocketsports pit.
