Alex Tagliani, driver of the #33 Johnson Controls Lola, will start the 22nd annual Cleveland Grand Prix from seventh position on the grid source: cart.com Tagliani finished sixth in the second qualifying session with a fast lap of 58.718 (129.119 mph, 207.796 km/h) and will have to fight his way to the front of the pack in tomorrow's night race. "It was an interesting session...sort of unpredictable. We made some changes to the ride height and wings and didn't know where they'd take us. The car was not as quick as I had hoped, but we'll have to work harder to figure out where we can get more speed for tomorrow night," said Tagliani. Tagliani is feeling more confident driving under the lights in the first-ever night race on a road course. "Visibility on the track was better than last night. I know the CART and track officials stayed until 4 am to make changes and it was easier to see the track now that it's been painted in different sections," explained Tagliani. "Sometimes it's still hard to see other cars and the lights need to shine from above rather then across the track and in our eyes."
