Team Australia is determined to redeem its fortunes at the spectacular Mont Tremblant circuit at Round 6 of the Champ Car World Series in Quebec, Canada this weekend. source: teamaustraliamotorsport.com The green and gold squad had its Aussie Vineyards DP01s leading the pack in Cleveland last weekend, proving the continued improvement of the team has made them a force to be reckoned with. Fortune, however, was not with drivers Will Power and Simon Pagenaud, denying Team Australia the results that the pace of the team deserved. With only a week between rounds Team Australia has the perfect opportunity to bounce back to form this weekend at Mont Tremblant. Team Australia driver and this year's Las Vegas GP winner Power has compared the 2.65-mile (4.26-kilometre) layout to classic circuits such as Spa Franchorchamps in Belgium and Road America in the United States. Both Power and Pagenaud completed two days of testing at Mont Tremblant in May and posted top five times at the open Champ Car test. Both will be keen to convert the knowledge gained from that test and carry the momentum of the speed shown in Cleveland to gain Team Australia its second victory of the season this weekend. WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY ... Will Power - #5 Aussie Vineyards Team Australia DP01 "I was pleasantly surprised at how nice of a track Mont Tremblant was when we were there just a couple of weeks ago," said Power. "It's a circuit that is very similar to Spa and Road America, very smooth, nice undulations, a circuit that I think the Aussie Vineyards cars will be strong on. "Having tested there will help us a lot for this weekend and we will go into it with the same game plan, to get on pole and win and hopefully this weekend we can do it at Mont Tremblant." Simon Pagenaud - #15 Aussie Vineyards Team Australia DP01 "I'm very excited for this weekend and to go back to Mont Tremblant," said Pagenaud. "I loved it when we tested there it's a beautiful country, beautiful landscape, very peaceful and I can't wait to visit the French side of Canada, to speak French and feel the French atmosphere, what a great place for a race. "On top of that, Mont Tremblant is a very interesting track and one that I quite enjoyed. We have a good set-up on the Aussie Vineyards car and I expect to have a good weekend and to be on the pace right away."
