Teaming up with Children's Miracle Network source: Torchia Communications Tide, Wal-Mart and Canada's latest race-car driving sensation Andrew Ranger all have something in common for the next few months. They are teaming up for the 2005 Tide @ Wal-Mart Victory Lap Charity Program, a fund-raising tour on behalf of the Children's Miracle Network currently being conducted in five Canadian provinces, including 27 Wal-Mart locations in Quebec. At every stop of the Tide @ Wal-Mart Victory Lap Charity Program, in 73 Wal-Mart stores across Canada, activities will be set up in support of the CMN, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America, 12 of which are in Canada. The Tide @ Wal-Mart Victory Lap Charity Program began touring the five provinces on May 19 and will do so until September 4, raising funds from the general public. At the end of the campaign, a guaranteed $100,000 will be donated to the CMN on behalf of Wal-Mart and all the participating partners of the program. "We are once again very excited to join forces with Wal-Mart to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network," said Mark Pawliw, Senior Account Executive of Procter & Gamble. "Both P&G and Wal-Mart are strong contributors toward community programs; this partnership is an extension of each company's individual charity efforts." The main fundraising activity will be a Mr. Clean AutoDry PRO Car Wash area. For a $5 donation, Wal-Mart customers will have the opportunity to have their car washed with the new Mr. Clean AutoDry PRO Car Wash system. Other family fun activities at each event include the opportunity for Wal-Mart customers to have their picture taken with Andrew Ranger's Canadian replica Tide Coldwater Champ Car that Andrew Ranger will be driving at the Champ Car World Series event in Montreal (August 26-28).
