Eyeing up the alternatives to F1 source: f1.racing-live.com / Earl ALEXANDER / © CAPSIS International Former Jordan racer Timo Glock has one eye on the Champ Car World Series for the 2005 season should the young German be unable to find a role in Formula One. Glock, who started four races with Jordan last year with a best result of eighth in Montreal, has been busy sharing a Rocketsports Lola with American Champ Car driver Ryan Hunter-Reay in testing at Sebring. Glock is no stranger to Champ car as he tested with Walker Racing in 2003 and enjoys the backing of Deutche Post's 'Speed Academy. Glock joins a whole host of drivers who have looked to Champ Car during the off-season. Antonio Pizzonia may be out of the running for a race seat with BMW Williams following the decision to race German driver Nick Heidfeld, but rumour has it that the popular Brazilian may well try and land a last minute seat in the US rather than taking on a full time test role with Williams once again in 2005. Bjorn Wirdheim has tested with PKV Racing and is still looking for a race deal for next year while Cristiano da Matta has returned to race action stateside.
