GROWING UP AND LIVING IN CANADA, BEING ABLE TO RUN IN TORONTO IS ALMOST LIKE HOME. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR CANADIAN RACES? IS THERE SOMETHING DIFFERENT? DOES IT FEEL LIKE THE "HOME COUNTRY" IS BEHIND YOU? "Racing in Canada is always very special, the fans are great supporters of Champ Car racing. The welcome I got from the crowd in Toronto is one of the best memories I have from last year. You definitely feel that the 'home country' is behind you. I don't prepare myself any differently, there is always added pressure but it is also a source of inspiration, so maybe I am always a little bit more motivated heading into a Canadian event."
YOU'LL BE MAKING YOUR 20TH START IN THE CHAMP CAR SERIES THIS WEEKEND IN TORONTO; DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE THE SERIES FIGURED OUT? WHAT HAVE LEARNED IN YOUR CHAMP CAR CAREER AND HOW IS THIS YEAR DIFFERENT THAN LAST YEAR? "Last year was a big learning experience for me. Not just the driving side of it but life as a Champ Car driver, the media requests and all that stuff, especially in Montreal, I don't think you can be prepared for that until you have lived it. This year, I know what to expect from the media and the car, I also have a better knowledge of the circuits as well. Last year I knew most of the tracks because I raced on them in Atlantics, but in a Champ Car it is a different experience, in some ways it just makes it easier going into a race weekend knowing what to expect."
YOU FINISHED SECOND AT TORONTO IN THE ATLANTIC SERIES (IN 2004), WHICH WAS ONE OF YOUR TOP FINISHES THAT YEAR, DO YOU ENJOY THE TRACK IN TORONTO? "I like the track in Toronto very much, it is a fun track and being in front of the home crowd always makes it special. The long straightaway on Lakeshore Boulevard with the tight turn at the end is always fun. You just have to be careful and not be too aggressive, like on any street course, because one little mistake can cost you a lot."
