Meanwhile, CART continued, the fans continued to show up at the racetrack, and
the almighty network TV ratings had stabilized.

begin thinking and then talking of one-series again.

April, 2003 - Word of Roger Penske's resignation from the ISC board led to
speculation about his future plans. But one paper ran with a compelling story.
The JournalNow (part of the Winston-Salem Journal's Web site) indicated that a
source at Penske had said Mr. Penske was considering joining Bernie Ecclestone
in a major revival of CART. We would later learn in September of 2003 that Mr.
Ecclestone's interest in the CART series was very real.
Maybe there was some truth to this story?
