Even serious drivers let loose once in a while. Alex Tagliani showed his fun side by taking on Paul Tracy in an X-box racing game. source: autos.canada.ca - by Elisabeth Rae Collett, canada.com Yesterday was my first day to ever set foot on the Champ Car grounds here in Toronto and it was amazing. I could not believe how much there is to do and see in my own town - and all in one event for that matter. Most of all, my heart leapt with excitement every time I could feel the roar of the cars speeding by me on the track. I walked from one end of the track to the other, taking in as much of the environment as I could, although that unfortunately included unpleasant odours surrounding some of the crazy food stands down 'Thunder Alley.' From a "Bikini Babe Wrestling" tag team match to the first qualifying round of the weekend, there wasn't a dull moment. And, the day didn't end there. After the on-track and off-track events ended, I headed on over to a new bar called Muzik, located on the edge of Toronto's Exhibition Place. That's where the glitz and glamour of racecar driving revealed itself to me. Molson Grand Prix of Toronto organizers literally laid down the red carpet, which drew in an interesting and well-adorned crowd. From ex-Raptor Jerome Williams to Cedric the Entertainer, the celebs started coming out of the woodwork. I was disappointed however that the rumored attendance of Jude Law turned out to be untrue. I was seriously hoping that he could give me advice on how to land the role of Wonder Woman. Oh well, I suppose that thought will have to wait until the next red-carpet shindig. What made up for the party's lack of sweet, sweet Jude, was the fact that many of the stars in this racing series attended. Katherine Legge, the first woman to race full-time in the Champ Car World Series, was among the first to arrive at the party -- my kind of girl!
