Mi-Jack Conquest Racing drivers Andrew Ranger and Nelson Philippe finished fourteenth and sixteenth in Saturday's Hurricane Relief 400 for round eleven of the Champ Car World Series source: Mi-Jack Conquest Racing - Kika Garcia-Concheso With three rounds remaining in the 2005 season, the team is looking forward to the next round of racing after not scoring the results they had been hoping for at Las Vegas Speedway this weekend. Rookie Andrew Ranger took the checkered flag in fourteenth position after having raced as high as fifth early in the race despite not feeling entirely comfortable with the handling in his Tide/Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Lola. "This was the longest race I have ever done and I was happy to make it to the finish, but of course we were hoping for a better result tonight," said Ranger. "It was a tough race and I tried hard to do the best I could with the car. The team worked really hard to give me a good car, but during the race I had a lot of over steer and that's not good for this track. I want to thank the Mi-Jack Conquest team for the hard work and the good pit stops, and hopefully we can fight hard for a good result in the next race." Nelson Philippe, who scored the first top-ten result of his Champ Car career last season with Mi-Jack Conquest Racing at the high-speed 1.5 mile oval track, had been hoping to set another career high on Saturday, but a mistake in the pits on lap 127 ended his night early as he took sixteenth in the final results. "This was definitely not a weekend to remember," said Philippe. "I gained lots of experience, with some good ones and some bad ones. It's been a long time since I made a mistake and tonight I made a stupid one. I take full responsibility for it and I'm sorry for Wellbox team that worked very hard on my car. The car was not so good at the beginning of the race, and then it was getting better and better. I passed Da Matta and everything was going fine. Later, I got caught up when leaving my pit and I lost control. It's a shame; we could have finished on the top ten. Let's think about the next race."
